  3. Move valuables and electronics to dry areas
  4. Take photos for insurance before cleanup
  5. Call your insurance company to start a claim

Next 24 Hours

  • Extract standing water with a wet-dry vacuum
  • Set up fans and dehumidifiers
  • Remove wet carpets and padding
  • Open closet and cabinet doors for airflow

Mold can start growing within 24-48 hours. Speed is critical.
