Dishwasher Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Monthly Cleaning
- Remove and clean the filter at the bottom of the tub
- Wipe the door gasket and edges
- Run an empty cycle with dishwasher cleaner or a cup of white vinegar
Loading Tips
- Scrape food, don't pre-rinse (modern detergents need something to cling to)
- Face dishes toward the center spray arm
- Don't block the detergent dispenser
Common Issues
- Dishes not clean: Clean the filter, check spray arm holes
- Bad smell: Clean the filter and run a cleaner cycle
- Not draining: Check the drain hose and garbage disposal knockout
