1. Confirm your home has a geocoded address

Open Home settings → Location. You should see a climate zone listed. If it's blank, geocoding didn't complete — see Address not found.

2. Check whether alerts are actually active

The Weather tab shows alerts that the National Weather Service has issued for your coordinates. If the NWS hasn't issued anything for your area in the last few hours, the list will legitimately be empty.

Cross-check with weather.gov — if an alert is visible there but not here, contact us with the alert type and your home's city/state.

3. Give background polling time

Our alert poller runs every few hours. A brand-new alert can take up to an hour to land in the app. The "current conditions" view is live, but the alert feed is cached for performance.
